Prayer of the People

A mass with priests at the altar and people in the pews. The Cathedral Basilica in Saint Louis

Be Part of a United Offering of Prayer

As we mark 200 years of Catholic faith in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, you are invited to take part in a meaningful act of faith through the Prayer of the People.

Through the Prayer of the People, these intentions, whether shared in a parish or online, will be gathered from across the Archdiocese and presented together at the Jubilee Mass on July 18 as a visible sign of our unity as one Church.

Place before the Lord what is on your heart.

A prayer for healing,
for your family and loved ones,
for those who are struggling or in need,
for our clergy, vocations, and the future of the Church,
for peace in our communities and in our world,
and for those who are searching for the Lord.

We understand that your intentions are sacred, and you can be assured they will be kept confidential and treated with care. After the Jubilee Mass, the collected intentions will be entrusted to religious communities and retired priests throughout the Archdiocese for ongoing prayer.

Online prayer submissions will close on Monday, July 13, to allow time to prepare these intentions for presentation at the Jubilee Mass.
